The Joint-Stock Company "South Kazakhstan Medical Academy" (SKMA) is the leading medical higher education institution in the country, providing educational services in the Kazakhstan market for over 40 years.
JSC "SKMA" prepares specialists in the fields of medicine, pharmaceuticals, and engineering-pharmaceutics at the level of secondary technical vocational education (medical college), higher education (bachelor's degree, internship), postgraduate education (master's degree, doctoral studies, residency), and continuous professional development of healthcare personnel (advanced training and retraining of medical and pharmaceutical personnel).
SKMA trains specialists in the educational program of "Nursing" at the following levels: applied bachelor's degree, academic bachelor's degree, and master's degree. In 2020, SKMA underwent specialized accreditation by the Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance in Education for bachelor's and master's programs and aims to develop it at the doctoral level.

The main tasks of the department are as follows:
