Bashkir State Medical University is a leading educational institution, the center of medical and pharmaceutical science in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Volga Federal District and is part of the Lower Volga Scientific and Educational Medical cluster.
Over 90 years, more than 50 thousand doctors and 5 thousand pharmacists have been trained, whose diplomas are recognized in 120 countries around the world.
BSMU has successfully passed the state accreditation of educational activities for the main educational programs and received a certificate of state accreditation until 2025.
The pharmacy faculty of BSMU was established 1981. It consists of 4 departments which are as follows:
• Department of pharmacy management and economics with course MFT
• Department of pharmacognosy with the course of botany and basics of phytotherapy
• Department of pharmaceutical technology with a course in biotechnology
• Department of pharmaceutical chemistry with courses of analytical and toxicological chemistry
THE FACULTY OF PHARMACY has significant human, educational, research, information and infrastructure resources, makes a decisive contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel for the pharmacy of the Republic of Bashkortostan. During the current period, teachers at the specialized departments of the faculty have defended doctor and candidate dissertations.
BSMU pharmacy school has also trained students from other countries such as Congo, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Benin, Vietnam and Iraq.
Memorandums of agreement with the purpose of international collaborations have been signed with several universities including South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Kazakh National Medical University named after Asfendiyarova, Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K Akhunbayev, Harbin Medical University, Sichuan University, Belarusian State Medical University and Lebanese International University.
Faculty members have received more than 200 copyright certificates and patents for inventions of which more than 40 patents of the Russian Federation have been obtained over the past 5 years.
